Tsumi has been now mated with an interesting german longhair male, Buddy ll vom Fenriswolf ❤ , an over 4000 km trip that hopefully will give us some puppies in April!

Tsumi’s birth resulted in 2 live puppies (a girl + a boy), one stillborn (a girl) and 3 mummified fetuses, that had stopped developing at various times a week to few weeks before, unfortunately. Tsumi was diagnosed with an infection of Pasteurella-bacteria (something that is also normally found in the bitches body) in one uterine horn (where the mummified fetuses were at), which also still affected the other puppies that had developed to full term through toxicity, so in the end we lost also the two puppies born alive one by one - the girl died of respiratory problems at 2 days, despite antibiotics, and the little boy had to be euthanized at two weeks due having severe complications despite strong efforts of antibiotics and keeping him fed every 2 hours … It has been a devastating experience to go through first time, I never even had a single stillborn puppy before... to be left with zero puppies after such enormous efforts. Also Tsumi took the loss of her last puppy very hard, she kept licking at it for more than a day so I had to just take him away … It took about two weeks until she stopped searching for him. We have now very guarded outlook on getting Tsumi healthy again, Pasteurella bacteria is a nasty one to have in uterus, since it will tend to remain hybernating in the uterine walls and no amount of flushing or scraping or antibiotics is very successful in getting rid of it. However, I'm happy I still have Tsumi and this is all a part of a breeders world...

Gamepoint Smoke And Lasers “Sep” took V3 (Excellent and 3rd out of 7) in open class at the Czech Weimaraner Club specialty show - his first show! The judge though with better handling he could even win.

During the last days of October, I started both Tsumi and Irma at some open class field trials in Sweden - doing water and tracking test on Friday - both Tsumi and Irma got 9 points in water (both did not enter water at the sending point but from another place) and full 10 points on track, and with those results we were allowed to start on the field. On Saturday Tsumi got a second prize (field 6, retrieve 10) and Irma - 2,5 years, with her very first start - got also a second prize (field 6, retrieve 10) - first prize was very close but as Irma was working first time in pair search and occasionally stopped, when the pairmate’s handler whistled, her result dropped to a second prize. On Sunday Tsumi got again a second prize (field 6, retrieve 8) and Irma opted to finish her field day with a self-initiated flush and running after the bird, so it was a zero from that performance. As Tsumi already has a first prize, I am mainly very satisfied with my little Irma ❤️.
